New NZ #1 Record Bull Tahr - 50 ½ DS | New Zealand Deerstalkers Association Inc

This year we have had an update to our official record books, Mr Hogg took this bull that was 10 years old and officially scored 50 ½ DS, making it the New Zealand number one*.
He measured 15 7/8 in length with over 9" bases. He was taken by Peter A. Hogg, Kakanui Mountains, in June of 2024.
The former number one spot was taken by two bull tahr scoring 49 6/8 Douglas Score. First equal for bulls taken by Thomas Felts at Karangarua Valley, South Westland in 2012 and G. D. O’Rourke, Erewhon Station in 1987. *A head must be measured offically by NZDA to enter the record books. If you have shot an exceptional trophy, get in touch with your local branch to get it scored and entered.
